In March 2023, Singapore inked a deal with the United Kingdom on the UK-Singapore Green Economy Framework with a focus on three key pillars: green transport; low-carbon energy and technologies; and carbon markets and sustainable finance. The Maritime and Port Authority of Singapore (MPA), the International Maritime Organization (IMO), and the Ministry of Climate and Environment of Norway have also signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) to join efforts in reducing carbon emitted by ships and their port activities.
The mission will focus on maritime and port development, fuel cell bus and marine vessel applications, research and development, as well as a focus on safety of various hydrogen technology.

Since the announcement of Singapore National Hydrogen Strategy in Oct 2022, numerous initiatives have been announced in Singapore, such as bunkering, hydrogen-ready power generation plant, fuel cell vehicle trials, and various other projects. In this workshop, we will learn more about the upcoming hydrogen projects and initiatives in Singapore, followed by discussion on the safety implications of these technologies, risk management strategies and safety protocols, to ensure the secure deployment of hydrogen in diverse applications.
