FAQ:

1.       When will the membership scheme take effect?

The membership scheme will take effect from 1 Apr 2022.

2.      Why is there a need to introduce membership fees?

The membership fees will go towards covering operational and administrative costs as we ramp up our activities for HFCAS.  In the past, we have depended on the good will and pro-bono contributions from our EXCO members and donations from members, and it is timely that we consider setting up a secretariat to oversee the activities as we expand our role in Hydrogen and Fuel Cell development and applications.

3.      What are the different categories of membership and their respective benefits?

Please refer to the above table for details.

4.      How often do I need to renew my membership?

Renewal is on an annual basis from the date your membership is activated.

5.      Is there a membership category for the public sector and local/overseas trade associations?

The current membership applies to corporations and individual members.  We will be introducing an “associate membership” at the next Annual General Meeting schedule for June 2022 after we pass the resolution for the constitution to include those from the public sector and local/overseas trade associations under this category.

6.      What should those from the public sector and local/overseas trade association do in the meantime?

You do not need to do anything.  You will continue to receive updates and invites from us based on the email provided to us.  If you would like to update your email address, please drop us an email at membership@hfcas.org

7.      If I am from the public sector or local/overseas trade association, and would like to join HFCAS, what should I do?

Please write to our email membership@hfcas.org if you are interested to received invites and updates to our events.

8.      What benefits and fees does the proposed “associate membership” include?

We will provide you with further details once the resolution is passed at the Annual General Meeting in June 2022. This category is for invite only.

9.  What is the Glue Up Community?

Glue Up is an all-in-one CRM platform that helps to build and grow community through events, memberships & other digital tools. You can also interact with HFCAS members and contacts through the platform.

10.   What are the networking opportunities available to members?

Upon members’ request, HFCAS will facilitate one-on-one, B2B/B2G introductions. For overseas networking opportunities, HFCAS will work with our counterparts whom we have existing Memorandum of Understanding (MOUs) to support our members’ overseas expansion.
